⚠️ About Our Content: IndiaPin.Codes primarily displays India Post’s publicly available postal PIN code data, which is government-sourced public information. Most of our content is factual directory data (post office names, district names, PIN codes, state names) that is not subject to copyright. That said, we fully respect all copyright claims related to any other content on our platform and will act swiftly on valid notices.

1. Reporting a Copyright Infringement

If you believe that any content on IndiaPin.Codes infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to us. To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your Identity: Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Description of the Copyrighted Work: A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed — for example, “the map design created by [Your Name] on [Date].”
  3. Location of the Infringing Material: The specific URL(s) on IndiaPin.Codes where the allegedly infringing content appears, so we can locate it.
  4. Statement of Good Faith: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

2. Our Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA notice, we will:

  • Review the claim to verify its validity
  • Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  • Notify the relevant content contributor (if applicable) of the takedown
  • Keep a record of the claim in accordance with DMCA requirements

We reserve the right to restore content that we determine, in good faith, is not infringing or if a valid counter-notice is received.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content was removed from IndiaPin.Codes by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written Counter-Notification. To be valid, your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal Court in your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which IndiaPin.Codes may be found)
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances, IndiaPin.Codes reserves the right to terminate access or take action against users or contributors who are found to be repeat copyright infringers. We take this matter seriously and enforce this policy consistently.

5. Misuse of DMCA Process

We want to be clear: submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice is a serious matter. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), any person who knowingly misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please only submit a DMCA notice if you genuinely believe your copyright has been infringed.
